TRMM-based rainfall accumulations (left, with terrain; right,
without terrain) showing heavy rains leading to devastating floods in
the Yangtze River basin, China. Persistent and heavy summer monsoon
rains falling in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River have led to
deadly floods and landslides killing more than 900 people.
